I am Ahniaelyah Spraggs, an ambitious television personality born and raised in Farmville, Virginia. My journey as a reporter began as co-editor-in-chief for Prince Edward County High School's newspaper. After high school, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University where I was an intern for WTVR-TV, reporter, editor and anchor for VCU InSight, covered the 2018 Virginia General Assembly and had my articles published nationwide by news outlets such as The Washington Post.
Description: In 2019 I took a trip to Carytown in Richmond, Virginia and spoke with small business owners about Small Business Saturday, a holiday celebrated the day after Black Friday.
Description: There were several bill proposals to increase Virginia's minimum wage in 2019. I spoke with a politician who voted against increasing the state minimum wage, a leader of The Richmond Living Wage Certification Program which recognizes businesses that pay employees living wages and a Virginia restaurant owner who pays his employees more than $7.25 an hour.
